My Adventures in South Korea

So little time. So MUCH to do!

A week has passed since my last blog post and I still feel like there is so much to do but not enough time! Last week, John and I spent most of our time packing up our apartment. We sold most of our furniture and packed up the rest of the stuff to leave at my parent’s house for when we get back. We still have a few things left to do, like clean out the fridge and rent a carpet cleaner, but for the most part, we are ready for our final walk-through of checking out of our apartment.

Last Friday, we received an email from our school letting us know that our visa numbers had been issued and we could go ahead and apply for our visas (I’ll go into more detail about this in my future blog post on all the paperwork you need in order to teach in South Korea). We sent off our passports with our visa applications, to the Korean Embassy, and we also bought our plane tickets, one way, to fly to South Korea! Now that the plane tickets have been purchased, it makes everything feel real! We leave Orlando on July 11th and we will arrive in Seoul on Friday, July 12th! It still seems crazy to think we are actually going! 🙂

This week, I am in Panama City Beach, my hometown. It is nice to be able to visit my family and see the beautiful Gulf Coast! John is in Gainesville, Fl, for Plant Camp, and will join me in PCB on Friday. I am excited to get some much needed beach time and sun!71_552236905702_9413_n

I can’t wait to go on sunset walks or daytime trips to the beach this week. I haven’t been to a prettier beach in Florida, then in my own backyard.

There is still so much we need to get done but its nice to slow down a bit and relax while we still have some time! 🙂
